Madonna’s next world tour will kick off March 31, 2012 in New Zealand, according to a supposedly leaked internal document from concert promoter Live Nation, reports HitFix.
Fan website DrownedMadonna.com reportedly received the leaked internal memo yesterday (October 12) from an unnamed source at the company. According to the source, an official announcement confirming the tour dates is scheduled for October 31. Even if the document is genuine, dates and cities remain subject to change until that time.
The document lists almost 40 performances, including shows in Australia, Singapore, Thailand, Japan, Israel, Italy, Germany, France, the U.K., the U.S. and Canada. There are also shows tentatively scheduled for China, but the singer is apparently still in talks with the Communist country: officials want to approve her set list before giving Madonna approval to perform, and have already nixed Material Girl and Erotica.
If the dates hold firm, Madonna will kick off the North American leg of her tour on July 13 in New Jersey, and wrap up August 10 in Florida. The same source noted that more dates will be added early in 2012, presumably for Latin America.
