Bruce Springsteen to discuss fate of E Street Band

Saxophone player Clarence Clemons was the most prominent of the group.

Since the death of Clarence Clemons from a heart attack last June, the future of the E Street Band may be uncertain, reports Music-News.

The group has periodically toured and recorded with pop star Bruce Springsteen since 1972.

Springsteen is planning to hold a meeting with the band later this month to decide whether or not the band will continue.

In addition to working with the Boss for almost four decades, the group also played and recorded with the best, including Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Sting, Ringo Starr, Santana and Lady Gaga, to name a few.

Clemons is the second musician in the band to die in a few years, keyboardist Danny Federici passed away in 2008.

Despite these unfortunate losses, guitarist Steve Van Zandt is convinced that band will continue. "That’s what we do," he said.
