Original Pink Floyd concert free online

YouTube streaming 1974 concert in honor of band’s box set being released today.

With legendary British rockers Pink Floyd releasing their entire 14-album back catalogue on the 16-disc Discovery Studio Album Box Set today, YouTube is hosting never-before-seen concert footage of a 1974 U.K. concert, reports Consequence of Sound.

The entire concert is streaming online through the video-sharing website, with audio captured directly from the soundboards, and then remixed and remastered by recording engineer Andy Jackson, who has a long-standing history with the band dating back to 1982’s The Wall. The music plays over original Pink Floyd concert footage, which has also been cleaned up and remastered.

"A global streaming event featuring audio from the previously unreleased live performance of ‘Dark Side of the Moon,’ Wembley, November 1974, together with original Floyd screen films, exclusive footage, and real-time social feeds," explains the official webpage.

Unlike YouTube’s usual on-demand videos, The Greatest Gig in the Sky is broadcast to all viewers simultaneously, beginning at the top of each hour. Viewers also have the opportunity to take part in a live interactive social feed that accompanies the video.
