Justin Bieber features Boyz II Men on Christmas album

R&B group motivated teen pop star to start singing.

Following Taylor Swift and Sean Kingston, Justin Bieber is the latest musical act to tackle a Christmas album. However, Bieber is foregoing a simple cover album of holiday classics, and instead, writing all of his own original Christmas songs, calling on fellow musicians to pitch in.

R&B vocal group Boyz II Men, one of the major influences for Bieber when he was younger, joined the young star in the studio.

Yesterday (September 13), he Tweeted, “2day i woke up and realized that the group that made me want to sing @BoyzIIMen are now on the christmas album singing with me. #DREAMBIG.”

The teen also noted that he used to “listen to their music and practice the runs,” explaining that’s how he learned to sing, and adding that they were currently in the studio making music together.

Fans were reminded by Bieber’s next Tweet to “never say never…never stop dreaming….never give up. #DREAMBIG. @BoyzIIMen Im honored and blessed. thank u.”

Boyz II Men have sold more than 60 million albums since the group formed in 1988.
