Taking a cue from her own sense of style, 22-year-old actress-singer Vanessa Hudgens is planning a line of fashions that are “street chic, bohemian and wearable,” according to E!News.
The talented young star – who recently caused a stir after cropping her trademark locks for a recent film role – has set her sights on fashion design shortly after a recent stint as official spokesmodel for Candies. Hudgens posed in a series of ads for the youth-oriented shoe brand.
"We’re still figuring it out, but it’s definitely in the works," Hudgens said.
Joining the ranks of other celebrity-turned-designers like Jessica Simpson and Lauren Conrad, Hudgens’s line is expected to cater towards teens and the venture is still in its earliest stages.
The star of the smash-hit movie series, High School Musical, the multi-disciplined thespian recently took on the role of Blondie in Sucker Punch, a fantasy-thriller directed by Steve Shibuya chronicling the fantasies of a young woman committed to a mental institution. Emily Browning, Abby Cornish, Jena Malone also starred in the film.
Hudgens recently finished filming 3D action-adventure Journey 2: The Mysterious Island due out February 10, 2012, and the drama Gimme Shelter costarrring Rosario Dawson and Brendan Fraser, due out next summer, July 9, 2012.
