Celine Dion joins Andrea Bocelli in Central Park

Canadian pop star to perform with opera singer at free outdoor concert.

On Thursday September 15, world famous Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will be performing a free concert in New York City’s Central Park with the New York Philharmonic.

Canadian singer Celine Dion will be joining Bocelli on stage, along with other well-known artists like Tony Bennett, Chris Botti and David Foster to name a few.

Sopranos Ana María Martínez and Pretty Yende, violinist Nicola Benedetti, bass baritone Bryn Terfel and flutist Andrea Griminelli will also be part of the evening performance, along with the Westminster Symphonic choir.

The event will be recorded for PBS and broadcast on Great Performances in late fall 2011. Andrea Bocelli Live in Central Park will also be released on CD and DVD this November.
