Attending the Venice Film Festival in Italy over the Labor Day weekend, pop star Madonna confirmed during an interview that her next album will be released next spring, reports HitFix.
The star was in Italy to promote her new film, W.E., and announced in an interview with Swedish television that she is working on her next album, a follow-up to 2008’s Hard Candy.
Although this is the first confirmation from the star herself, her manager Guy Oseary had announced the news on Twitter back in July.
Madonna plans to return to New York immediately after her trip to Venice to resume work on the album, and hopes to release the first single around February or March.
The pop star did not deny rumors about the possibility of working again with producer William Orbit, who worked on her critically-acclaimed album Ray of Light (1998),
