Country offers autumn fairs from coast to coast.

Although summer days are winding down, Canada still has plenty of festivals taking place over the next few months, celebrating everything from shellfish to pumpkins, reports Canoe Travel.

The Prince Edward Island International Shellfish Festival takes place September 15 to 18 at the Historic Charlottetown Waterfront. Taste crab, lobster and mussels prepared by internationally renowned chefs, while watching oyster shucking competitions and live music.

For wine lovers, there are vineyard events taking place across the country. The Niagara Wine Festival runs September 16 to 25 in St. Catharines, Ontario, while the Fall Okanagan Wine Festival kicks off September 30 in British Columbia.

The Celtic Colours International Festival is a nine-day music extravaganza taking place in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia from October 7 to 15. Enjoy music by international and local performers surrounded by brightly-colored fall foliage.

Prince Edward County in Ontario then gears up for Halloween with their Pumpkinfest on October 15. The 14th annual event includes a pancake breakfast, parade and contests.

From September 9 until October 31, the Chinese Garden section of the Montreal Botanical Garden in Quebec will be lit by over 700 traditional Chinese lanterns in the annual Magic of Lanterns exhibit.
