The Strokes already back to work on new album

Writing together is like therapy for the band.

Although their last album, Angles, was only just released in March, indie rockers The Strokes are already back to work writing their next LP, reports Daily Star.

"We are working on parts whenever we have time off. We try and get together when we are not on tour and have spare time," explained bassist Nikolai Fraiture.

“There aren’t so many finished songs but we have many parts. We try putting them together like puzzles and making them stick. Some people are bringing in stuff, some are not. But we hope to release it as soon as possible."

According to Fraiture, the recording sessions for their as-yet-untitled fifth album are like therapy after the strained inter-band relations that plagued the group while working on Angles.

"We all work together and spend a lot of hours on the songs together," he said. "We’re in a good place as a band right now. I feel like I’m at therapy in a marriage.”
