1. Max Pacioretty’s first goal in Washington
Max Pacioretty has had it tough in recent years. He’s often injured and it’s a shame to see that.
Last night, in his fourth game with the Washington Capitals, he scored his first goal.
SUPER MAX

A Pacioretty goal.
It was the Caps’ only goal in a 4-1 loss to the Kraken.
On the winning side, Adam Larsson and Brandon Tanev were outstanding, collecting two points each.
And in front of the cage, Joey Daccord stopped 25 of 26 pucks.

2. Three goalies injured
In the Ducks-Hurricanes game, all four goalies saw action.
How’s that? Because two starters went down fighting. First, Pyotr Kochetkov was injured after conceding three goals on 13 shots.
Oh no.
Pyotr Kochetkov is exiting the game for the #Canes.
After being looked at by Head Athletic Trainer Doug Bennett on the ice for a minute, #52 had to be helped off.

The Hurricanes eventually won the game by a score of 6-3.
The Sens were visiting Buffalo, and also lost the services of their regular goaltender.

Ottawa loses 5-3.
The team is playing worse under Jacques Martin than D.J. Smith.
In any case, the bosses don’t think it’s funny.

3. Sidney Crosby overtakes Mike Bossy
In Pittsburgh, it was a duel between the Penguins and the Canucks.
Elias Pettersson was the hero of the game, scoring all four of Vancouver’s goals.
The visitors won 4-3 in overtime.
The Swede first served up a perfect pass to Brock Boeser.

Then he scored the winning goal in overtime. He is the first player in NHL history to score a game-winning goal in four consecutive away games.

4. Leafs lose 3-1 lead
I don’t know what the problem is, but the Leafs can’t hold on to a 3-1 lead.
Whether in the playoffs or the regular season, Toronto is simply unlucky…
Yesterday, the club had a two-goal lead, only to lose the game in overtime.
It was Mathew Barzal who sent Toronto home. The forward collected four points in the game.

Noah Dobson was involved in all his team’s goals, too.
What a player!
42 points in 41 games for this blossoming defenseman. Dobson deserves an invitation to the All-Star Game. https://t.co/BMGZsYtSq6

In defeat, Auston Matthews scored again. He added two goals to his tally.
His 32nd and 33rd of the season.

5. Ninth straight win for the Oilers and eighth for the Jets
The Canadiens and Senators may not be having easy seasons, but the Jets and Oilers are.
Yesterday, the two Canadian teams continued their winning streak. First, Edmonton extended its streak to nine and Winnipeg to eight.
As for the Oilers, they went two and a half periods without a goal. But in the third period, Connor McDavid woke up his team.
