Marc Anthony – in what seems a ploy to buy more time – is reportedly being needlessly stubborn in divorce proceedings with estranged wife Jennifer Lopez, after the couple’s split was announced in July.
An unnamed source at US Weekly has claimed that the father to her three-year-old twins, Max and Emme, is determined to get JLo back, and is dragging his heels at every turn in the hopes she might have a change of heart.
"His mood shifts from blaming her to begging her to take him back to telling her she is destroying his life. He’s being difficult on every little point. He wants to prolong things so she reconsiders.”
Lopez has remained adamant that reconciliation is impossible, confiding to the source that "she is very happy [and] is surrounded by love."
Lopez, 42, has been open about the celebrity couple’s struggle to balance careers and family life. She was quoted as saying, "It’s getting increasingly harder. When we were first married, most of the time, and even before the babies were born, we were able to go everywhere together. I wasn’t working as much. It’s hard, and we’re figuring it out. It’s tough.”
"Everything is ramping up in a way," she continued. “Like I said, we had the first three years of our marriage just for us. I wasn’t working, it was mainly about him. Then we got pregnant. Then it became about the kids. And then I started working again."
