Feist offers glimpse of new album

The Toronto-based songstress launches mysterious video campaign online.

To announce her anticipated new release, musician Leslie Feist – known professionally as Feist – has released a mysterious album trailer.

The indie songbird provided the link via Twitter with only: “A glimpse to come… More soon…”

Coming some four years after the release of 2007’s smash hit The Reminder, the moody teaser – shot entirely in black and white – is markedly stylish, but reveals little of what fans can expect from the new album slated for an October release.

A series of locked videos appearing on her official website indicates that more teasers are still to come. The second video clip in the series will be unlocked July 25.

The 35-year-old artist launched her solo music career with the release of Monarch (Lay Your Jewelled Head Down). Her subsequent studio albums, Let It Die (2004) and The Reminder (2007) lifted her onto the world stage, selling over 2.5 million copies.

Feist has earned five Grammy Awards and is also a member of indie rock band, Broken Social Scene.
