Gwyneth Paltrow takes Coach overseas

International fall ad campaign unveiled.

Coach has unveiled the first images of Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow in a new international campaign destined for overseas markets, reports Coco Perez.

The American leather goods company has chosen to celebrate its 70th anniversary by featuring the beautiful blonde actress and mother of two.

"Coach is celebrating its 70th anniversary as an iconic American brand, so we couldn’t ask for a better international ambassador than Gwyneth,” senior VP Jason Weisenfeld told WWD.

In the photos, Paltrow appears extremely casual in the New York City rooftop shoot by photographer Peter Lindbergh. These first images are intended for Asian and European markets. New images will be shot for the North American campaign.

Last April, Coach president and creative director Reed Krakoff said Paltrow was “a natural choice” for brand ambassador. “She embodies the spirit, energy, and elegance of the Coach brand.”

The Country Strong star had previously stated: "I grew up in New York City and I’ve always thought of Coach as the quintessential New York brand. I’ll never forget getting my first Coach bag."

The talented Paltrow sings, cooks, blogs, acts, models, and has been married to the Coldplay frontman Chris Martin since 2003. They have two children, daughter Apple, 8, and son Moses, 5.

Coach specializes in upscale leather goods, including ladies’ and men’s handbags, luggage, briefcases, wallets and other accessories such as belts, shoes, sunglasses.
