In celebration of the warm summer months, English fashion designer Stella McCartney has released a limited edition version of her popular Stella fragrance: Sheer Stella.
Packaged in a clear, glass bottle adorned with transparent, purple roses, the light and airy fragrance opens with notes of plums and grapes, with sweet Bulgarian roses at its heart. Middle notes of refreshing lemon and green apple are placed on a warm, sensual amber base.
With the environment in mind, the organic roses used in this perfume were grown in Iran without the help of pesticides or artificial fertilizers.
Serious collectors of Stella will notice that the 2011 version marks a few firsts for the fragrance: the perfume goes without its popular pink tint; the cap is black rather than the usual white, and the box shape no longer mimics the octagonal shape of the bottle.
McCartney has been releasing limited edition versions of her perfume since 2004 to complement the Stella family of fragrances, which includes Stella Eau de Parfum and Stellanude Eau de Toilette.
The limited edition Sheer Stella is available in eau de toilette in 100ml and retails for approximately $70.
