Johnny Depp to produce two new films with Disney

Actor’s production house announces two upcoming projects.

Johnny Depp’s production house Infinitum Nihil is teaming up with Disney to produce two new projects which could potentially star the Pirates of the Caribbean actor, reports Coming Soon.

The first project is a feature film version of the 1970s cult-favorite The Night Stalker, which starred Darren McGavin as Carl Kolchak, a reporter who inadvertently ends up facing off against a vampire when he starts investigating a serial killer. The Night Stalker was initially a TV movie that aired in 1972 – followed by a sequel, The Night Strangler, in 1973 – before becoming a television series in 1974.

The second project is a biopic based upon the famous midnight ride of American Revolutionary War hero Paul Revere. Still untitled, the film’s script is being drafted by husband and wife Lee and Janet Scott Batchler, who also wrote the 1997 film Batman and Robin.

Both projects are still in the early stages with no production schedule or announced cast. While either could potentially star the actor, so far Depp has only confirmed he will produce the films.
