Axl Rose sitting on unreleased material

Enough Guns N’ Roses music to fill three albums.

Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose has enough unreleased material in the vault to fill three albums, guitarist DJ Ashba revealed to Ultimate Classic Rock.

"Axl has so many songs up his sleeve from the ‘Chinese Democracy’ era. He has three albums of really amazing stuff," Ashba said in an interview.

"He’s played me quite a bit of it, it’s really good. I’ve been demoing tons of stuff in my studio; I think the ultimate goal is to sit down and go through everything, and put together what he feels would be the next best thing for Guns N’ Roses. I’ll do whatever I can to help him meet that vision."

The guitarist – who also plays for Sixx:A.M., the side project of Motley Crew co-founder Nikki Sixx – says that GnR is hoping to fit in a U.S. tour in the near future.

"I don’t want to put anything out there yet – the only thing that’s in stone right now is Rock in Rio, on Oct. 2, but I know that we’re all itching to get out there, and one of our main big goals is to tour the States."

GnR has sold over 100 million albums worldwide, but have yet to put out anything new since their sixth studio album, Chinese Democracy, was released in 2008.
