Mick Jagger’s new super group

SuperHeavy to debut first single.

Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger and guitarist Dave Stewart of the Eurythmics have formed the group SuperHeavy, reports Gibson. Both were interested in forming a group that would cross and mix musical genres.

In addition to Jagger and Stewart, SuperHeavy consists of British soul singer Joss Stone, the youngest son of Jamaican Bob Marley, Damien Marley, Indian film composer A.R. Rahman, known for his scores of 127 Hours and Slumdog Millionaire, along with bassist Shiah Coore and drummer Courtney Diedrick.

The new band reportedly wrote 22 songs in just 6 days together, earlie this year in Los Angeles, and the first single is entitled Miracle Worker.

The group’s name, SuperHeavy, was inspired by Muhammad Ali. Universal Music has confirmed it will be handling the U.S. launch of the group’s as-yet-untitled debut album.
