One night in Bangkok

Thailand offers package deals to encourage flight stopover visit.

Air travelers catching a connecting flight in Bangkok may want to check out Stopover Bangkok, a new initiative from the Tourism Authority of Thailand to entice passengers to spend a day or two exploring the Thai capital, reports Routard.

As a major airport hub, Bangkok often serves as a stopover for passengers from the Middle East, Europe and Africa en route to Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia, and Australia and New Zealand.

By extending their layover for a day or two, travelers passing through can enjoy great deals offered by more than 122 local businesses.

Tour packages are based around an assortment of themes, including the Art & Senses Route, BKK Nightcrawlers, Shop, Drop & Spa, and the Shopping Route.

The promotion runs only until October 31. Visitors must sign up through stopoverbangkok.com in order to take advantage of the package deals.
