Lady Gaga’s creativity peaks at bedtime

Theatrical pop star says song ideas often come to her when she’s half-asleep.

If you’re wondering why Lady Gaga seems to be such a prolific songwriter and where her ideas come from, the theatrical pop star recently sat down with UK talk show host Paul O’Grady, reports MTV.

The Born This Way hitmaker is always thinking about music and feels driven to create. When O’Grady asked Gaga where she gets her songwriting inspiration, she explained, "I just have to [write songs].

“Sometimes in the middle of night when I’m falling asleep I have a lot of ideas, then wake up and record them into my phone and send it to my producers and then I fall asleep.”

Her latest album, Born This Way, is at the top of the charts and she is already planning a following up to her Monster Ball tour for 2012.

The Poker Face hitmaker shows no signs of slowing down, saying she prefers life on the road. “I do have plans, it will be at the top of next year but I have to begin rehearsing by the end of this year. That’s what I do. It’s time for another marathon.”
