Beady Eye on the BBC

British sitcom to feature For Anyone as theme song.

British alt rockers Beady Eye have provided the theme song for a new BBC television show, reports Gibson.

Based on the cancelled U.S. sitcom Grounded for Life, the retitled In with the Flynns will star English actor Will Mellor, who has appeared in a number of BBC shows, including popular soap opera EastEnders.

For Anyone – the seventh track off the band’s debut album, Different Gear, Still Speeding – has reportedly been chosen to serve as the sitcom’s theme song. While the band will not perform a new version of the track specifically for the show, they are said to have already granted permission for the series to use their song.

Beady Eye was formed in 2009 by the remaining members of Oasis after Noel Gallagher quit the group over a disagreement with his brother, Liam.

Yesterday (June 12), the band performed at the Isle of Wight Festival in the U.K., where they also recorded the video for their next official single, The Beat Goes On.
