Make room Céline – another Canadian is coming to visit.

Following a long period out of the spotlight, Canadian country-pop star Shania Twain has announced that she is moving to Las Vegas to take up a two-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, reports HitFix.

After her husband left her for her best friend, a painful divorce, and literally losing her voice, Twain is back, newly wed to her former friend’s ex-husband Swiss businessman Frederic Thiebaud,

Fresh on the heels of receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and with her first memoir entitled From This Moment On climbing the New York Times bestsellers list, Shania Twain’s meteoric star continues to shine bright. The final episode of her six-part documentary series Why Not? With Shania Twain will air on the Oprah Winfrey Network June 12.

"This past year has been such an amazing journey and to find myself poised to play at The Colosseum is truly magical," Twain said in a statement. “…People from all over the world travel to Las Vegas and I’m so thrilled to be able to share my music with a truly global audience."

"I will let my imagination run wild," she told reporters Wednesday (June 8) at a news conference to announce the deal. "I’m going to go nuts creatively."

The show Shania: Still the One is set to open December 1, 2012, and will feature all of her biggest hits including You’re Still the One and Forever and for Always.
