Justin Bieber to help send kids to college

Pop star gives concert for charity that helps at-risk youth get into university.

Pop star Justin Bieber will perform a charity concert in Saratoga, California on June 11, with proceeds going towards College Track, a charity that helps coach disadvantaged college-hopefuls on how to get accepted, reports Teen Music.

"College Track is an after-school, college preparatory program that works to increase high school graduation, college eligibility and enrollment, and college graduation rates in under-resourced communities," the charity explains on its website.

The show kicks off at 8:30 p.m. local time at the Mountain Winery venue. Tickets cost between $250 and $2,000, and the price of admission also includes a pre and post-concert reception and a commemorative T-shirt. All profits will go towards the charity – the pop star is providing his own services free-of-charge.

The charitable act is garnering praise from fellow celebrities.

"Hey Justin Bieber proud that you are playing a show for College Track. Good on you," actor Ashton Kutcher wrote on Twitter.

"Thanks for supporting College Track… You donated your time, talent and heart," chimed in rapper MC Hammer.
