Former Kinks frontman Ray Davies said that musician Jack White is currently in talks to create the soundtrack for the upcoming movie, Schoolboys in Disgrace, based upon a 1975 Kinks concept album of the same name.
"He’s a great technical player and would bring some great anarchy to it, which is in keeping with the script," Davies said of White, in an interview with the BBC.
The movie is currently in development. Davies will produce, while comedian Bobcat Goldthwait (Police Academy) has completed the script and is now on tap to direct once he finishes with another project.
"He’s written a great script, we’ve got the money to do it but he’s got another movie to do and then he’s thinking about doing Schoolboys later this year or early next year," explained Davies.
"Bobcat’s got a really good vision of what he wants. Once the script’s been approved, I never interfere with a director and what they want."
