Rapper Kanye West is currently in Paris working on his upcoming fashion line, an unnamed source told the Telegraph.
The fashionable musician is said to be working on a upscale label for men and women, based out of a studio in the French city center, but little else is known about the new collection.
West already has some experience in the realm of fashion design. In March, the rapper partnered with design collective M/M Paris to create a limited edition collection of scarves inspired by the cover art of his newest album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
He’s also created a range of athletic footwear with fashion house Louis Vuitton, and partnered with Nike to launch the high-end Air Yeezy sneaker collection.
The new label wouldn’t be West’s first attempt at creating his own line. In 2009, he started working on a new collection called Pastelle, but it folded and was never released to the public. At the time, West seemed to think that was the end of any hopes for his own fashion line.
"Did you not see the Lindsay [Lohan] and Ungaro collection?" he told Elle last year. "That was 9/11 for celebrities doing fashion. After that I thought: ‘Well, I can’t do a line now’."
Luckily for fans of the rapper’s unique style, West appears to have changed his mind since then.
