Pop singer Pink, 31, and her husband, motorcycle racer Carey Hart, 35, became first-time parents yesterday (June 2), with the birth of their daughter Willow Sage Hart, reports People.
The star announced the good news on her Twitter page: “We are ecstatic to welcome our new beautiful healthy happy baby girl, Willow Sage Hart. She’s gorgeous, just like her daddy. #beyondblessed.”
Pink first confirmed she was pregnant in November after a friend had sent her a congratulatory Tweet on the social networking site.
Pink spoke about her pregnancy during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, broadcast last November 17.
"I didn’t want to talk about it because I was just really nervous and I have had a miscarriage before," the singer explained.
Since going public, the pop star gushed about the impending birth.
"I have a life inside of me, and I want her or him to know that I will accept him or her with open and loving and welcoming arms," she wrote on her website for the release of her video for F—–‘ Perfect.
"And though I will prepare this little munchkin for a sometimes cruel world, I will also equip this kid to see all the beauty in it as well."
Pink and Hart married on January 7, 2006 in Costa Rica, separated in 2008, and reconciled in 2009.
