Just in time for the summer wedding season, socially-conscious American shoe retailer TOMS has launched its Wedding Collection – sensible and comfortable footwear for brides, grooms and the rest of the wedding party.
The women’s collection for brides and bridesmaids includes wedge heels and flats, available in neutral shades like ivory and white, as well as a few glittery options in pink, black or silver.
For grooms and groomsmen, six designs are available, including the canvas classics in white or black, and black velvet or black leather classics.
Even the children in the wedding party are taken care of, with a variety of canvas, glittery and printed flats for youth and toddlers.
The Wedding Collection also qualifies for the company’s revolutionary One for One charity campaign which, for every pair sold, donates a new pair of shoes to a child in need.
The movement began when company founder and former Amazing Race competitor Blake Mycoskie traveled to Argentina and discovered that the children there had no shoes to protect their feet.
The company has partnered with worldwide humanitarian organizations in order to identify communities in need and ensure they get footwear that suits the local environment. Already, TOMS has donated over one million pairs of new shoes to needy children around the world.
