Fashionable boutique hotel chain W Hotels is planning to open new luxury accommodations in the coveted Brera district of Milan, Italy, reports Business Traveller.
The new hotel, W Milan, is now scheduled to open May 2012, after the worldwide financial crisis forced parent company Starwood Hotels to push back its opening by three years.
Now things are back on track, and W Milan will offer 76 luxury guest rooms and 5 meeting spaces located in the city’s Brera district, an area renowned for its prestigious art collections, the famous Duomo (Milan Cathedral) and La Scala Opera House.
"Milan is the city of fashion and design and so it’s a hotel people are expecting," said Alessandro Pinna with Starwood Hotels. "The Milanese are excited, especially after the opening of W Barcelona."
The hotel will also include a state-of-the-art gym and a luxury spa. Guests can indulge in a meal at the signature restaurant, enjoy a cocktail in The Living Room bar, or take in the view from the rooftop terrace.
