Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry will receive a different kind of award at the upcoming FiFi fragrance awards on May 25 in New York, reports Relay.
Berry, who entered the lucrative perfume market about two years ago, is set to receive the 2011 FiFi fragrance celebrity of the year award. Presented by the fragrance foundation’s board of directors, the award is given in recognition of a celebrity’s star power with regard to the ongoing success and support of the perfume industry.
The beautiful actress has created a collection of fragrances infused with her favorite ingredients.
“For years I have created my own personal scents by mixing and layering fragrances, trying to come up with something unique and different,” said Berry. “It’s a wonderful form of self-expression and I am thrilled to share these fragrances with consumers worldwide.”
“I am very honored to receive this FiFi award,” added Berry. “I truly believe that fragrance makes women feel beautiful and confident.”
Her first signature fragrance, Halle by Halle Berry, was introduced with great success in 2009. In 2010 Pure Orchid was launched confirming her belief that “beauty blooms within” revealing a more sensual, seductive and intriguing facet of her personality. The alluring Reveal fragrance was also introduced in 2010 and speaks to glamour and confidence while revealing the intriguing complexity of a woman.
