Young Academy Award-nominated actress Hailee Steinfeld has signed on as the newest (and youngest?) brand ambassador for Italian fashion house Miu Miu, Prada’s sister label, reports Coco Perez.
Only 14, the teen star has already been nominated for an Academy Award for her role in True Grit, and is making waves in the fashion world for her personal style choices. She has attended events in outfits by designers like Prabal Gurung, Alberta Ferretti, and even showed up at the Oscars in a custom-made princess dress by Marchesa.
Her go-to designer, however, has been Miu Miu. She’s been photographed sporting the label at the Berlin Film Festival, the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards ceremony, and even an evening at the ballet.
Last season, the teen star made headlines when she scored front row seats to the fashion house’s fall-winter 2011 catwalk show.
"We formed a relationship with them at the SAG Awards," Steinfeld’s stylist, Karla Welch, told the Daily Beast. "Miu Miu is such a perfect fit for her. Throughout awards season, they were the dresses she wanted to wear."
The teenager will have some large – but stylish – shoes to fill. Previous ambassadors for the brand include Katie Holmes, Kirsten Dunst, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Vanessa Paradis, Lindsay Lohan and Laetitia Casta.
Steinfeld has already been photographed for the 2011 fall-winter ad campaign, with images expected out some time in August.
