Live life on the edge of Toronto’s CN Tower

EdgeWalk takes thrill-seekers on a hands-free trip around the edge of the observation deck.

Thrill-seekers will want to head to Toronto this summer, where the CN Tower is launching EdgeWalk, the world’s highest hands-free ledge walk atop the tower’s observation pod.

For $175, visitors will be strapped into a safety harness and led on a full-circle walk around the outside of the tower, on a five-foot-wide ledge 116 stories above the ground.

Going out on the ledge in groups of six to eight, visitors will be accompanied by trained guides who will encourage the daring to take things even further – like leaning over the edge with nothing but the open air beneath them and their harness to hold them up.

"We think it’s fitting that Toronto’s newest attraction in 18 years should be at the city’s most defining landmark," said Mark Laroche, CEO of the company which operates the CN Tower. "EdgeWalk is both thrilling and unique and will push visitors to their limits – literally and figuratively. This will be among Toronto’s, if not the world’s, greatest attractions."

Tickets go on sale June 1 with the first EdgeWalk scheduled to take place on August 1. The entire experience will last for about 90 minutes, including a one-hour training session followed by a 20 to 30 minute walk around the tower.
