Child star, Willow Smith,10, is gearing up to release her third single, Rock Star, with a song snippet debuting online, reports Staragora.
Willow, daughter of Hollywood actors Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, first broke onto the music scene last year with the platinum-selling debut single, Whip My Hair.
Her second single, 21st Century Girl, did not perform as well, peaking at number 99 on the Billboard Hot 100. The poor performance gave rise to speculation that the young performer might be a one-hit wonder.
Now it seems, however, that the 10-year-old singer is looking to return to the spotlight with her new single, following in the famous footsteps of her musician-actor dad.
A clip of the new track was used as background music for a behind-the-scenes video of Willow preparing for her performance at the 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards. Willow attended the ceremony last month with her older brother Jaden, star ofThe Karate Kid remake, who collaborated with Justin Bieber on the movie’s theme song Never Say Never.
