Buckingham Palace has issued an official statement confirming a benign prostatic hypertrophy, a condition common in older men that can lead to urinary disorders. It is important to stress that this medical condition is not linked to an increased risk of prostate cancer.
This announcement follows that of Kate Middleton’s hospitalization. The latter is currently hospitalized after undergoing abdominal surgery. Although not related to cancer, the seriousness of the situation has been underlined, with a two-week hospital stay and several months’ rest planned for the Duchess.
The palace has also asked for the public’s understanding of Kate’s desire to preserve a normal life for her children at home, requesting that medical confidentiality be respected.
King Charles III is expected to resume his duties after a brief period of convalescence.
It’s a busy time for the royal family…
