Futura Medical has announced the invention of a ‘Viagra’ condom that helps maintain erection by coating the inside with a gel that increases blood flow, reports the Daily Mail.
The product will be sold under the Durex label, and could be available in Europe by the end of the year. It is unknown when the product may be available in North America.
The purpose of the invention was to help men who lose their erection when using a condom. Studies show that they generally avoided condom use, exposing themselves to increased risk of sexually transmitted diseases. The gel also helps prevent the condom from accidentally slipping off.
The manufacturer states that men who use the new CSD500 condom reported firmer and stronger erections that lasted longer.
