Lady Gaga releases another track from Born This Way

The Edge of Glory is now available for download and streaming.

Just as she promised on her Twitter feed yesterday (May 9), Lady Gaga has released a new track, The Edge of Glory, off her upcoming album, Born This Way, reports MTV.

The new track – which is reportedly not an official single but part of a countdown event to the album’s release on May 21 – has a more traditional pop feel, moving away from the modern industrial sound of her first two singles, Born This Way and Judas.

The Edge of Glory features a sax solo from Clarence Clemons, best known for his part in Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band. Clemons is also featured on another track, Hair.

The song was co-produced by Gaga, Fernando Garibay and DJ White Shadow – who also produced the album’s first single, Born This Way.

"The great thing about dance songs is, for me, most of the time, they start off as ballads, and that’s the approach I’ve been trying to keep going," explained Garibay.

"We wrote songs, particularly Gaga wrote these songs, to live in a dance environment. Yeah, they’re dance, but I think the whole thing, too, is that they’re songs and genuine to her."
