Madonna has recorded a duet with her 14-year-old daughter Lourdes in an attempt to jumpstart the teenager’s singing career, reports Music News.
Mother and daughter are featured together on a track called It’s So Cool, which could be included either on Madonna’s next studio album or the soundtrack for the movie W.E. – Madonna’s directorial debut.
The pair first recorded the song together in 2003 as an acoustic number. The track was then remixed into a pop song and made available on iTunes in 2009, but with Lourdes’s vocals removed from the final release.
Now it seems Madonna is ready to usher her daughter into the spotlight.
"Madonna hopes Lourdes will step into her shoes and become one of the biggest female artists in the world," an unnamed source told the Sun. "She is the perfect mentor for her daughter and is keen to assist her first steps into the music industry."
According to the source, "Lourdes has a great voice and plenty of character – like her mom."
