Katy Perry has announced that Last Friday Night (TGIF) will be the next single off her hit album Teenage Dream, reports MTV.
The album artwork, revealed on Perry’s official Facebook page, shows the singer in her nerd getup from last year’s Teen Choice Awards. On a psychedelic neon background straight out of the ’80s, Perry poses in taped glasses and headgear.
A new video is reportedly in the works, although no details are available yet… save one – it may break the internet.
"I told someone about my new music video I just filmed & they responded with ‘wow, that’s gonna break the internet.’ … Should I knock on wood?" the singer wrote on Twitter.
The song itself is a fun party jam with lyrics recounting the events of a debauched Friday night. The track was co-written by Perry herself, with help from Bonnie McKee, Dr. Luke and Max Martin. Luke and Martin also produced the single.
