Eminem collaborates once again with Royce da 5’9

Bad Meets Evil duo working on new EP due out in June.

Rap star Eminem is returning to his roots, partnering up with his former collaborator Royce da 5’9" on an as-yet-untitled EP due out June 14, reports NY Mag.

Both rappers were part of Detroit’s underground rap scene in the ’90s, and partnered to create the rap duo Bad Meets Evil after meeting at a concert in 1997. Releasing only a few recordings together, the rappers each became busy with their respective solo careers before a feud caused them to break ties completely.

The two reconciled after the 2006 shooting death of their mutual friend Proof and have started collaborating again.

"Royce and I started hanging out again and inevitably that led us back into the studio," said Eminem. "At first we were just seeing where it went without any real goal in mind, but the songs started to come together crazy, so here we are."

"I’m excited to see this project come to fruition considering the long lapse in time between when we worked before and now. We had a blast doing it and we just hope everyone enjoys it…" added Royce.
