The Ministry of Natural Resources has just unveiled a new online tool for fishing enthusiasts, which will undoubtedly make it much easier to plan their next trip.
The website allows fishers to find extensive information on hundreds of the most popular lakes, including depth, species of fish, and nearby accommodations. Powered by Google Maps, it also provides easy-to-follow directions.
Other links include locations for obtaining a fishing license, as well as information on provincial regulations.
About 1.3 million anglers spend $2.5 billion on fishing in Ontario annually, and catch more than 100 million fish.
