Smells like L’Occitane en Provence

New aromatherapy collection features essential oils to promote relaxation.

French cosmetics company L’Occitane en Provence is introducing a new aromatherapy-based skin care line, L’Occitane Aromachologie, which uses soothing scents to help promote relaxation.

The new collection promises to help to ease stress and calm the body and mind using the relaxing scents of lavender, tea tree, and geranium essential oils.

The line includes AROMA Relaxing Body LotionAROMA Relaxing Bath & Shower Gel, and AROMA Relaxing Hand Balm. All three products are scented with the three signature essential oils. The body lotion also includes grape seed oil in order to moisturize and nourish skin, while the hand balm makes use of the soothing properties of shea butter.

L’Occitane Aromachologie will be available through L’Occitane boutiques beginning this summer. The body lotion is available in a 250 mL bottle which retails for $32, the shower and bath gel is $22 for a 250 mL bottle, and the hand balm is available in a 50 mL tin, which sells for $20.

L’Occitane was founded in Provence in 1976. Inspired by traditional beauty methods used in Mediterranean cultures, brand founder Olivier Baussan aspired to create natural and effective skincare products and fragrances.
