Drake not leaving record label

Rapper says he wants to stay with Lil Wayne’s Young Money label "forever."

Not only has Canadian rapper Drake spoken out against rumors that he had left the Young Money record label, but he demonstrated his loyalty by performing alongside label producer Lil Wayne last Sunday (April 3), reports MTV.

Rumors of Young Money’s loss began to circulate when Drake was not listed as part of the upcoming I Am Music II Tour sponsored by the label.

"I’ve been touring since last March so I’m just going to take time and make my album," the rapper explained in February.

Still, his omission from the line-up was enough to get people talking. Drake tried to put an end to the speculation by telling the audience at Lil Wayne’s concert in Washington D.C. that has no plans to leave the label.

"You see today, when I landed in D.C. and I got off the plane, this n—- looked me in my eyes and he asked me, ‘Did you drop out of Young Money?’ And I looked him right back in his eyes and I said, ‘Boy, are you out your motherf—— mind?!’" he said from the stage. "Man, I want this sh– forever."
