Outdoor adventure park in France challenges visitors of all ages

Wizz’titi park opens this weekend in Saulières region.

For adventurous travelers looking to try something a little different this summer, Wizz’titi, an outdoor activity park in the French region of Saulières, opens this Saturday (April 2).

Located just outside the city of Brive in Corrèze, the attraction features five different climbing courses for ages three and up.

Youngsters start on the one-meter-high Filou course, working through 14 different exercises that help with balance and motor skills and teach safety basics.

Children 8 and up can then graduate to the Panda course, which takes them five meters up into the trees and includes a zip line. The difficulty and height keeps increasing with the Tamalou and Ninja courses, and new for 2011, the ‘very difficult’ Surpr’wizz course offers a whole new level of challenge.

For those who prefer something a little more sedate, the Vaindiou course follows a quiet walking trail through the trees and includes four zip lines.

Visitors looking to get back to nature can try the unique barefoot trail. Hikers can leave their shoes and socks to enjoy a sensory walk over bark, wood and mud. Blindfolds are available for more adventurous souls.
