Actresses Sarah Jessica Parker and Marisa Tomei are in talks to star in the romantic comedy Married and Cheating, written and directed by Raymond De Felitta, reports Variety.
The story is set in New York and Paris, and follows the lives of three married couples struggling to find happiness. No deals can be finalized until financing for the project is completed.
De Felitta was nominated for an Academy Award for live action short for his 1990 thesis Bronx Cheers. Since then he has gone on to direct the independent films Two Family House, and City Island among others.
In the meantime, Sarah Jessica Parker is currently filming New Year’s Eve with a large ensemble cast that includes Jessica Biel, Ashton Kutcher, Robert De Niro, Hilary Swank and Katherine Heigl. The film will have a holiday season theatrical release on December 9. Parker also plays opposite Pierce Brosnan in I Don’t Know How She Does It due out in 2012.
Marisa Tomei is sharing the screen with Matthew McConaughey in The Lincoln Lawyer due out this Friday (March 18). This summer, Crazy, Stupid, Love with Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling debuts in theaters July 29.
