New video for Michael Jackson song

Hollywood Tonight from posthumous album now online.

Yesterday (March 10), the Hollywood Tonight video from Michael Jackson’s posthumous album Michael made its premiere on YouTube, reports Billboard.

Directed by Wayne Isham, the video tells the story of a young female dancer (Sofia Boutella) and Michael Jackson fan who aspires to make it to the big time.

In the same vein, Michael Jackson fans are being encouraged to participate in making a video for the song Behind the Mask, and can visit a website built expressly to encourage and explain exactly how fans can take part.

“You are about to become part of the most epic, international, and crowdsourced Michael Jackson video of all time,” reads the website. With a variety of storyboards to guide them, fans can participate in five different categories: singers, audience, musicians, dancers, and extras.

“Whether you’re filming props, backgrounds, playing instruments, or singing, this is your chance to work on not just any music video, but a video for a song by the King of Pop, Michael Jackson,” continues the website text. “Our goal is to gather material from all corners of the globe and everywhere in between and creatively mash as many people into one video as we possibly can.”
