Keira Knightley as Chanel Superwoman

Chanel unveils teaser video of English beauty’s ad campaign.

French luxury designer Chanel has unveiled a teaser video preview of its new Coco Mademoiselle fragrance ad campaign starring British actress Keira Knightley, reports Coco Perez.

Dressed in a beige catsuit, with a color-coordinated vintage motorcycle and matching helmet nearby, Knightley talked about the shoot at the Place de la Concorde in Paris.

"Nobody said exactly what it was going to be like" she said in a voiceover on the clip. "I knew that it was something about a motorbike, and I knew it was going to be beige, and they said: ‘sort of catsuit.’"

"It was completely unexpected," said Knightley, "It’s a Chanel superwoman I think."

The video is directed by acclaimed English film director Joe Wright, who worked with Knightley on Pride and Prejudice and Atonement. It will launch on cinema and television screens March 21.

This week, Chanel also unveiled the first images of its advertising campaign for its Mademoiselle handbag collection starring Blake Lively. The campaign was also shot in Paris, by none other than Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld himself.

On March 8, during Paris Fashion Week, Chanel debuted their 2011-2012 autumn -winter collection at the Grand Palais.

Knightley just finished filming David Cronenberg’s historical film A Dangerous Method with Viggo Mortensen, based on the relationships between Carl Jung and Sigmund Freud. The film is currently in post-production and expected to be released this year.
