Trent Reznor in for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter?

Former Nine Inch Nails frontman may be scoring and acting in film.

After winning an Oscar last Sunday (February 27) for his soundtrack score of The Social Network in collaboration with Atticus Ross, Trent Reznor has just added another project to his agenda, reports Comingsoon.net.

The musician will reportedly both score and act in the film Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, a screen adaptation of Seth Grahame-Smith’s new book of the same name being produced by Tim Burton, Timur Bekmambetov and Jim Lemley.

Not only will the musician score the soundtrack, likely re-teaming with Atticus Ross, but he may also play the role of a vampire who kills Abraham Lincoln’s pregnant mother.

The Lincoln story tells of a secret diary kept by the 16th president – about his valiant fight against the undead all the while running the country, saving the union, and abolishing slavery. The film is expected for release June 22, 2012.

Author Seth Grahame-Smith also has another big-screen adaptation in the works for his other book Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.

In the meantime, Reznor is busy working on the soundtrack of David Fincher’s remake of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.
