Pop star belongs to German jeweler’s ‘Charm Club.’

American pop star Katy Perry has signed on as the first-ever brand ambassador for German jeweler Thomas Sabo, which has recently unveiled a new ad featuring the California Gurls hitmaker, reports Coco Perez.

The new Thomas Sabo spring-summer collection is reportedly inspired by pop culture, making Perry the perfect fit for the brand. The singer appears in ‘Pop Now’ advertisements for Thomas Sabo, and the designer is also sponsoring her California Dreams world tour.

As brand ambassador, Perry will wear pieces of the jewelry collection exclusively during her concerts and press appearances. The 26-year-old singer has spoken of her love of “quirky jewelry.”

"I’m such a fan of all things cute and collectable – I like the Charm Club the best because I get to make it my own,” said Perry.

"Katy is a match made in heaven for us,” the brand said in a statement. “In terms of her personality and charisma, she is absolutely the perfect complement to our brand, so much so that we just couldn’t imagine a better partner."

German luxury brand Thomas Sabo has developed a global following for its sleek watches, stylish charms and hip sterling silver jewelry.

In discussing the hottest trends, the jeweler said, “We always try to integrate current and forthcoming trends in our new collections…the only exception might be our ‘Sterling Silver Classic Collection’ and some ‘Charm Club’ charms. These pieces are chic and timeless, like pearls and will always be ‘en vogue.’
