Popular American designer Jeremy Scott has collaborated with the Swiss watch group Swatch to launch his own signature collection, reports Coco Perez.
The unique and whimsical watches originate from the brilliant creative mind that Karl Lagerfeld believes will one day take over at Chanel.
Yesterday morning (February 15), Scott wrote on his Twitter account: “Ever since I was a child I’ve loved this brand…I never would of thought then that I’d have the chance to make something with them…”
“The exciting news I have been waiting to tell you is that my new collaboration is with Swatch!!! Here is the first image of me and the 3 Swatches I’ve designed!!!”
The whimsical design of the ‘opulence’model features an ornate golden picture frame surrounding its face. The ‘lightning flash’ design resembles something out of a Flash Gordon comic book. The prominently white ‘wings’ model is a visual pun for “time flies” and features two white wings on either side of the watch face.
Scott is known for his high octane and outrageous designs favored by pop stars and celebrities like Madonna, Rihanna, Kanye West, and Lady Gaga. Scott has collaborated with several major brands, including Adidas sportswear and footwear, and Longchamp handbags.
