The new music video for Britney Spears smash-hit single Hold It Against Me premieres on MTV and its website this Thursday, February 17 at 9:56 pm.
The highly-anticipated debut will be followed by a one-hour live discussion about the video and what fans can expect from the new album. Last week, Spears launched a marketing campaign around the video, directed by Jonas Akerlund, by posting photos and short clips to generate interest for its upcoming MTV launch.
The first single from her new album reached the top of the singles chart in the very first week it was released last January. The Femme Fatal album launches on March 29.
"She’s showing that you have to push it as an artist: that you can’t just settle, that you can’t be calm with your choreography, that you have to make a statement," said the video’s choreographer, Brian Friedman. "There’s so many people out there competing in this world to be the queen of pop, and she’s definitely claiming her throne."
