Fashion designer and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham could soon be providing the wardrobe for princess-to-be Kate Middleton, reports People.
While at the showing of her new collection for New York Fashion Week, Beckham revealed that she was sending a selection of dresses to Middleton at her request.
"Apparently, she likes my clothes and has asked to see a selection. It will be from my current spring-summer collection," Beckham said during a red carpet interview.
According to rumors, Beckham is in the running to dress Middleton for formal day and evening engagements once she takes on the public role of princess, following her April 29 wedding to Prince William of Wales, eldest grandson of Queen Elizabeth II and second in line to the throne.
"It’s tremendously exciting and I would be honored if she were to wear my designs. I admire her tremendously. She’s a beautiful young girl, she has a wonderful figure and I think she wears clothes beautifully," said Beckham.
Prince William’s upcoming nuptials to Middleton will be the first royal wedding since his father Prince Charles wed Diana Spencer on July 29, 1981.
Beckham’s fashions have already become a favorite among Hollywood stars, including Blake Lively, Cameron Diaz, Gwyneth Paltrow, Drew Barrymore and Elle Macpherson.
