Miley Cyrus planning to go back on tour

Break in filming schedule allows young singer to return to music.

After releasing her third studio album last summer, young singer-actress Miley Cyrus, 18, announced she was going to take a break from the music industry in order to focus on her film career.

Flash forward to the Grammy Awards eight months later, and the pop star announced she’s was ready to get back to her music career. After cracking a few jokes about Lady Gaga’s egg arrival, Cyrus confirmed as much with E! Online.

"No movies lined up," she said. "I’m going on tour." No further details have been announced.

Daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus, the 1980s Achy Breaky Heart hitmaker and star of TV show Doc, Miley Cyrus comes from an entertaining family. She most recently starred in The Last Song, released last March 31, 2010, marking her successful transition to adult roles.

The fourth and final season of Disney’s Hannah Montana began airing July 11, 2010 and is scheduled to end in 2011. Cyrus has reportedly already filmed her film scenes for LOL: Laughing Out Loud and So Undercover. She is lined up to host Saturday Night Live on March 5.
